After a series of false starts owing to game crashes and poor system performance, I have settled once again for St Albans in the ECS. I am playing with all English and Scottish leagues but without extra detail (makes my game much quicker). I will NOT start again!
First seasons objective from the board was to invest in players, I gave them mid table obscurity! I did have a mid season flurish that at one point landed me on top of the league but that oh so familiar post Christmas failure was about to strike. We ended up 11th.
Second season, board wanted mid table, I gave them a bit more! Managed to secure a couple of key free signings and one crucial loan deal at the heart of my defence. I was top of the league for the best part of the season and all was looking good. Once again a post Christmas wobble made things difficult, however I managed to secure the league on the last game of the season. I had to win and Dag & Red had to draw or lose. They drew, I won (scoring in the 91st minute!) The crowd quite literally went wild!!
Pld - 42, Won - 25, Drn - 11, Lst - 6, For - 66, Ag - 33, Pts - 86
Avg Att - 901
I have turned down in the region of 10 job offers in a bid to win something with the Saints, new offers may now prove very intersting.
More to come with Saints hitting the Conference and almost certainly immediate relegation .....

Start of first season in Conference. I am classed as Relegation Battlers on my Info screen but the bookies say I have an outside chance of promotion if I beat the teams at the top of the league!! Talk about stating the obvious!!

I found that if my team scored more goals than the opposition, I teneded to win more games.
Famous quotation from Richard Pitman before a Grand National a few years ago, " ...if he can jump all the fences and still have something left at the end he could have a good chance of winning"
Half way through the season and The Saints are 4th. Things are going well but I can't see us achieving promotion for the forseable future and I'm eager to test myself at a higher level. Blackpool, sitting 16th in League Two come calling and I'm off! £500K to spend but have to reduce the wage bill. 1st game in charge we go down for a club record of a 6th straight defeat and 2nd game in charge I am down to 9 men inside 25 mins!! One player, my star, is banned for 5 matches! It's going to be a tough remainder of the season.
