A fruity discussion indeed and enjoyable to myself who started following ICT when they were Inverness Thistle [and A.N. Other]. I always managed them in early incarnations of The Game but now they're established in the SPL I have to give them a wide berth.

But going back to my original question, indeed in The Game there is no relegation from ScotDiv3 but that doesn't in itself preclude the board from sacking a manager who habitually attains a 10th place finish or sends the finances into tailspin by signing a few too many players [not that anybody would do that Ian ].

So my question remains - does anyone care to admit, or even allude to an apocryphal story about a friend of a friend getting sacked by said footballing club?

Nope, I can honestly say I've never heard of a LLaMa being sacked by The Shire.

Why not try and be the first to get sacked? But do it without offering ultimatums!

Yeh, I kinda have that in mind. not to deliberately get sacked - altho' that might make a leftfield LLaMa challenge in itself.

My idea is to play it realistically by retaining the squad I'm presented with and slowly adding to it only with kids found by my scout(s), but not in bulk numbers, staying within the wage budget.

Can anyone advise me on this - without necessarily knowing the current specifics of the Shire, realistically how many coaches, physios and in particular, scouts would such a diddy outfit have? If it's one of each I'll go with that.

It'll take me a few days to DL the patch and get going, but I'll report in after 3 seasons.

Seriously though, does anyone think it would make a good challenge is a bunch of us simultaneously set out on a campaign to get sacked as Shire boss (without issueing ultimatums as findefinn says)?

I shall be starting a new game tonight as the Shire and will par-take in the quest of being utter ***** but playing realistically.

Shall report in 3 seasons, we can have a few managers updating the same thread all playing as ES
