Hello!

I am a new player of FM 2005 (actually new to any kind of football management game). It seemed to place to start was at the bottom, so I sort of stumbled on the LLM way of doing things on my own.

I just completed my first season as the manager of Bognor Regis in the ECS. We dropped and I was sacked. Should I start a new game or do LLM conventions allow me to apply for another job in the game I'm currently in? Dorchester and Stalybridge are each looking for a manager and I've applied for those jobs.

Thank you for your advice. This is a cool game and will be even more fun once I figure out how to win.

Well done starting at the bottom ANd no problem applying for jobs in your current game - although you may have a hard time, as your reputation will be pants with one relegation behind you already

Doesn't break any rules at all to carry on in the same game - some of the greatest LLaMas have made a career out of continual relegation.

Both squads I applied with offered me a job so I took the offer from Stalybridge. They actually have a transfer budget (BR had nothing) and their wage situation wasn't too bad. I've managed to get it £95 under budget. And after two games I have a win and a draw! Wooo-hooo!

Well Stalybridge are in the Copnf North relegation zone IRL (altho' above my team BPA) and Dorchester are in the division below Conf South aren't they? So both are realistic job offers.

Not only were the finances ok but I got an assistant manager and a scout, although the scout isn't all that great.

Yeah, another Yank. I ived in England for three years and Germany for three years. Does that count for anything?

While we're on the subject of scouts, is it ok for me to make offers for players on teams that I've played against or for players that were on the team I got sacked from? My thinking here is that it would be ok because these are players that I am either familiar with or have seen myself.
