I just started playing FM in November (never played CM or other soccer sims) and I am hooked on what I just found out to be LLMing... I took over Notts County (after starting unemployed), and have played the Magpies for 5 seasons (being promoted to Championship finally).

Anyways, I am not posting to brag about my club (even as excited as I am), but to say hi to all of the other LLMers I never knew existed! FM is great! Can't stop!

And, yes, it is "soccer" to this American.

Actually Notts County isn't considered 'Lower League'; in England you'd start with a non-league team (Conference National or North/South). County are way too high for that.

Notts County should only be seen as a gentle introduction to LLM, as Andy has said most Llamas start at the very lowest level available. Not sure how many have tried the 'starting unemployed' thing or how that works though.

Thanks for the welcome... I am not only new to FM, but rather new to football as well, and only a few years ago, I couldn't even name one football club in the world. haha

I have learned everything from FIFA PS2 games. haha Our sports channels would rather show bowling and poker then soccer... so, not my fault!

By the way, I started unemployed to feel like it was more real... and to me, I thought league two was low. Next time, I will go lower... if I ever finish!

Anyway, welcome. I've been away for a while finishing my thesis. Finally got the rough draft done this afternoon. Celebrated by looking up Frank and taking on US Reyennes of the French National.

2000-1 odds to win the national, odds on for the drop. The media instantly asked me if I thought we were doomed. Good stuff.
