Hello LLM gang - I always read your threads as they are just so funny, I love the way you tear people apart, when you need to.

Well before tearing me apart, could I please ask what size database I should use if I am going to have a crack at the LLM.

I just about have a PC that could take the hugh database.

Thanks in advance. Hands over head waiting for it :p

As 'case open' has become 'case closed' very quickly, I'll just throw something into the mix - if you have a computer that can only comfortably play all leagues in England on small db, is it acceptable to retain English players, as a small Conference South side is unlikely to be signing Japanese players etc?

gamesrater, there's a whole load of threads that answer that question, no need to hijack a thread to ask it...however...

Retaining players is a contentious issue because doing so unbalances the game in favour of the Nationality of the players retained.

That probably wouldn't matter so much, though, if you only loaded Poofland and retained Poofland players.

The problem I find is that it doesn't retain all of that nation's players anyway.
I started a game recently on large, all English leagues running, and retain all English players.

I looked at a couple of non-league clubs (not playable) who should have had decent sized squads but half the players weren't there anyway.

So I don't think the retain players option works too well anyway. I restarted on huge database, and have completed 2/3 of my first season, guiding Worcester City to 19th place in the Conference North.
