Leagues with two start dates

Hey all, I have a quick question:

Since my laptop's now broken, I've gone to start a new save on my desktop. Frank sent me to Ireland. Just now when I was starting the game, I noticed that I get the option to start in Jan 2007 or Jan 2008. I'm just wondering what (if any) differences there are, and which the rest of you pick.

Well, of course. But I mean do the players on the team change, finances, etc, and which is the more realistic LLM like date to choose?
