Hi

I started off a game in FM 2006 from Conf South with AFC W'don (I'm a huge fan) and after 22 season i'm now in season 2030, I'm in the premiership and I've just won the Champions League and W'cup with England/Brazil.

However, I don't want to lose this game, but similarly I want to play FM 2008. I was hoping one of the producers could convert my game for me to run on the FM 2008 database. I would really appreciate this and be willing to pay a fee for this as well.

Due to changes in the in-game coding and databases, save games from older version of the game are not compatible with the newer versions

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the games are not compatible, but is there no way one of the makers could maybe convert the game for me? It would be a shame to have a give up this game.

At least he offers to pay for it. And not demand it because it the the sacred right for SI to have save games conpatible for previous versions. Cause if they dont, i think you should how it ends...

I have bought every version of FM since it's inception....from CM1...CM3..CM4..FM onwards. The only one I have not played is FM2007 (however I did buy 2 copies, each for my 2 brothers, but I never got round to playing it because of my AFC W'don game.)

I do want to buy FM 2008 and I most likely will, and I have no intention of being selfish and I apologise if it's come across like that.

If the conversion cannot be done, I won't have a problem starting again, it's more of a question of whether it's possible or not.

It's not possible, no reason to abuse the guy for asking though, don't expect everyone to know everything that you happen to.

If you have played every incarnation, you must realise, payment or not, converting a DB across versions would be nigh on impossible.

Let the devs get on with patches and FM2009.

And buy 2008, you really won't regret it, its great.
