they are satasfied (oops spellin) im 180,000 under my wage budget still have the 28m budget they gave me(and they keep saying dont be afraid to spend money!!)

every month it says we are satasfied with your preformance but the fans were unhappy with your 0-0 draw with liverpool away! get real

As Leeds my "3 year plan" was to win Championship.
07/08 Topped League 1 and won Johnsons Paint Trophy
08/09 Second in Championship. Promoted.

Board then revised "3 year plan" and released a new "2 year plan". Plan states: Win the Premiership.

IN TWO SEASONS!! This is hardly fair!

I finished the first season in 8th and am aiming for 5th in the second. 1st is ridiculous!

Am I going to be sacked for failing my board despite my 2 year completion of the initial "3 year plan"?

ha at least my board seem to be patient i just think the goals are bit off they basically want the prem in 2 season and this year to win all cup competitions its crazy

I am playing as Parma who are just getting back on their feet these days after the Parmalat scandal. My two year prediction was first to achieve a safe mid table finish and then a top half finish. I finished 9th the first year and 4th the second, getting through my CL group half way through the 3rd year. My board have never been more than satisfied.

I constantly get messages saying such and such a player was not worth the money. Even friendly defeats seem to disappoint them, its crazy!

i actually got sacked in a friendly, i was man u against colchester so naturally i tried a weaker squad, couldnt believe it, and that was after winning the prem and FA Cup

As Newcastle, prediction was 10th, 2-year plan to challenge for the prem. Minimum expectation was safe mid-table.

Came 5th, board gave me a new 2-plan with the same goal, this time minimum expectation was UEFA cup qualification.

Seems fair, maybe just Ashley coming to terms with reality. Still gave me 35m to spend though. :thup:

****, SI needs a fresh start i think. so many bugs in one game... what have they been doing last year??? why do we need to find the bugs? why are there even beta-testers for the game if they can't find anything?... don't sell stuff that doesn't work the way it should, or next year you'll be having a lot less customers.

Something else that is really annoying is that the board will get upset if you buy youth players that don't immidiately pay dividends. For example, in my second season I bought Aaron (an amazing FC and Breno (top-notch DC) and my board became upset that they weren't useful players (they reminded me of that each month). One year later, they're two of my most consistent performers....

I've said this somewhere before but I feel the need again....

I think what SI should have done was to take FM07 and fix all the problems that remained in that game.
They shouldn't have bothered with all the new features because with that comes a lot more bugs i.e the ludicrous Chairman expectations, where it's obvious SI still haven't been able to find a balance.

Can you imagine that for a second?
FM07 with a nice shiny new skin, no bugs and totally playable from the word go, without the need for patches (seeing as they would have spent a year fixing the damned thing)?

Its that yearly cycle thing ;p And all the sports games seem to suffer from it.

Each year they repackage the same game with a new feature list most games would be embaressed to call an 'expansion', and then charge us full price.

The whole genre is IMO stuck in a rut, and due to the money hungry corp hqs and us clamoring fans its unlikely to change... at least till computers become smart enough to start writing prefect bug free code by themselves
