Agreed. I don't understand why some people are saying it's worse in Beta 2, to me it's much better than Beta 1.

Closing down works fine for me post patch. Pre patch it was easy enough to work around it with a small amount of effort. If you spent the time u spend complaining on here understanding what the sliders in the tactics do the bugs that make the game "unplayable" become very insignificant.

SI really do need to take their time with the patch and release it when they are ready.

They have, this year been nice enough to provide us with a Beta patch to extend the testing range and to enhance our enjoyment of the game so the final product is even better.

I must admit after downloading the updated 8.0.1 beta I no longer see signs of the closing down or confidence bugs. These were the only 2 bugs which made the game unplayable.

The only real issues I have now are the finance problems with teams spending unrealistically large sums of money and the huge matchday and ground maintainance costs, far too high imo.

However the game is still playable, you just need to keep a closer eye on your clubs finances(keep well under wage budget and don't always spend your whole budget) as the AI board aren't doing it for you.

If I'm honest, in Beta 2, there does seem something odd about closing down. It seemed sorted in Beta 1, but in Beta 2 it seems my players will get close to the player, but not make the tackle and then just back off. This could be just coincidence that it only happened to me after installing Beta 2, but I don't think it is.

Anyways, it's still much better then it was unpatched.

For what it is worth though. I have just listened to the Podcast and Miles says it should be out "next week". Assuming it was released on Friday(the podcast) then the patch should be out this week sometime.
