Viewing tactics employed by teams in previous matches
In all of the CMs I remember, leading up to CM4, when you went to view to details from a previous match (played by either yourself, or 2 AI teams) the option existed to view the formation (and starting XI) that had been employed by each team at the start of the match. I'm sure that you could do this by clicking on the large team names at the top left and right of the 'match details' overview screen.
From CM4-FM2008, this option has disappeared. I asked about it in the lead-up to FM2005 and FM2006, but the issue was never clarified. Now we are at FM2008, and I see the feature has still not yet been brought back.
In FM2008, when studying past matches, you have options to view starting XIs, ratings, etc only, but are given no illustration, pictoral or otherwise, of the formations the teams employed to begin each match, i.e. which position on the pitch each palyer started in.
Is this continued omission deliberate? And if so, why (cos I miss it)?
