All the season I've been losing money due to the small size of the current stadium and with the player bonus payed out the bank balance is almost 1 million in the red.
Next season is approacing and I can't seem to see any solution to this as I can't sell off any players as I only have maybe two that are good enough to generate that kind of cash between them. Going for a higher up challange offloading the best of my players = the only ones that have championship standards doesn't feel like a good solution.
As a new stadium is under construction the board with all right is not interested in expanding the current one. The new stadium wont be done for another year though and by that time it seems like the team will be in a horrible condition finacially no matter how much I cut in the wagebill.
I have tried arranging a couple of high profile friendlies but all the proposals get rejected so that options seems emptied out. I only bought one player last season and he was well within budget at that time and we pretty much filled the stadium every game so that wont generate enough money on its own.
| Just transfer list all your players and offer them out. I guarantee you that one of them who is valued at about £50k will get sold for about £2m. The transfer system on this game is completely up the wall.

To get more income:
1. Arrange as many friendles as possible. Even if the high profile clubs reject, you may be lucky with some less profiled clubs. You may also try abroad. I've played friendlies against European teams, Premiership and other leagues every second day in the pre-season to strengthen my finances in Swansea. Some clubs may reject your proposal, but may change their minds if you offer a part of your income from the match. Give them 100 K and you may earn 300 K (depends).
2. More income: Sell a couple of players who isn't your first choice and are aging.
Minimize your reservesquad, get rid of those you don't want to be forced to used. Start low to get clubs interested. Then browse the interested clubs for very young players or listed players and propose a player-exchange + eventually money.
To reduce your expenses
1. Do you need all your staff ? If you have four scouts and no transferbudget you may get rid of some scouts. Do you need more than two physios ?
2. Sell all your third-choices and most of your second-choices.
3. Negotiate salary with your most highly paid players. Offer more result-depending bonuses and less basic wage. When they accept a reduced basic wage, offer a new contract with increased bonuses and lowered basic wage. Worked with me in Swansea, Wolves and Huddersfield.
To sign players to strenghten your first team.
1. The old stars: Sign a player on the edge of retirement if necessary to strenghten your weakest positions. Some good players out-of-contract may accept a key-role or future job-offer.
2. Sign youngsters from other countries.
If you can't find them sign a scout from another country or continent and send him all other places than UK.
You may also sign some high rated young international players from e.g. south-America or Africa for free or very cheap and then sell them if you can't afford to keep them. Let them play some matches against weaker teams. A couple of matches rated 8-9-10 will do on their CV.

After letting 2/3 of my team go when contracts expired I managed to get in a couple of highvalued freebies, like Chris Eagles. With a couple of players worth over a million each it seems abit lighter as I can possibly sell one of them to get the cash if I keep losing money.

| I found that the biggest premier league clubs i.e Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool $ Chelsea always refuse friendly invitations but clubs like Villa, Bolton, Blackburn should accept a friendly thus helping your finances. I also found that most of the big dutch clubs will accept a friendly. As I have said in previous threads I did this and made millions from just playing friendlies against the clubs listed above.

Well friendlies wont generate that much cash as I can't even get 9000 people into the stadium. Well I managed to slim my squad to almost none exsistent and filled out with loans. Only problem is now they are picking my players off one by at the rate 2-3 each game, which is kinda hard to fill with a very slim squad.

Sell everyone and reduce the wage bill. You'll be surprised how well you'll still do if your tactics and training are good enough.

Though considering the team you're managing, i think the smartest idea would be to run them into administration

Look at your wages. Perhaps you have someone worth £5k who is earning £2-3k per week. Selling this guy will save you £100k - £150k per year. Get rid of a couple of them, even if you sell them for nothing at all, will save you a fortune.
| Yep.
I'm American, so I look at wages as a "Per annum" thing instead of a "Per week" thing - it really calls it out when you're paying somebody a princely ransom.
You might consider setting it to "per annum" as a display-option, decide who you want to cut, and then turn it back to the per-week that you're used to thinking in.

My squad is so thinned out I can't cut anymore. The problem I have no is that I have to play my U18 players as I'm getting so many injuries every game.

Why don't you just keep playing to see what will happen if you slip further and further into the red? Maybe if your Chairman is one of those that loves the club, then he'll inject some cash in to prevent you from going into administration?
