I recently entered the Managers' Hall of Fame (for English managers) on my Man. United game, and was horrified to my name already there from a previous save.

Does anyone else think this shouldn't happen? I mean, I wouldn't mind if there was a set hall of fame for all saves, but this one includes all managers from the past, plus myself from a previous save. I just don't want to be there twice!

Just realised that this could sound like an attempt at disguised bragging for having made the Hall of Fame twice. I don't do bragging posts. FM08 is the first time I've ever been able to achieve major success, and even then it's only been with Man. United and Chelsea. To reiterate, I am not bragging.

I have often thought that there should be a "Reset Hall of Fame" option in the game.

it's easy to delete the hall of fame, go to CDocuments and Settings\All Users\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008 and delete the hall_of_fame.dat
WARNING: if you delete it and you are already in hall of fame with our current save and then get more points in hall of fame i dont know what would happen, might crash the game. i only used this when i start a new game

I imagine you would just start again in the hall of fame with 0 points, the same as if you move the save to a different computer and don't thake the HoF with you.

It should really be save game specific, without the need to bugger making new ones for each game.

They still haven't fixed the problem where Rafa or Jose pop up twice if they win anything either. I remember that from FM2006

I've never seen or noticed this (haven't looked though).

Maybe it's subliminal suggesting that they are twice the manager of the rest.
