Er, no it's not. The biggest selling point is the new features included in the new versions. Can't agree with the OP at all - and his post doesn't really make too much sense tbh. </BLOCKQUOTE>
To be fair to the OP, I don't think he understands/is aware of the intrinsic link between the DB and the game-code.
I don't understand why they had to mess with the match engine so much. All they had to do with the one from 7.0.3 was make tall strikers slightly less effective and it was gold.
i have to agree with the OP, most of the new features are useless, match engine is full of bugs and it's worst then the FM2007 full patched match engine... i havent found any use for the new features...
i can't imagine printing on a CD is a particularly huge cost.
and some people., like me, will always prefer a solid cd in the hands rather than a download.
and how would updates for the game stop a 'bugged up game'?
if you dont want to buy the next game then just get one of the free dataupdates and play the old game with new data.

If any of you go and criticise what i just said shame on you because you know i'm right. Respectfully i will purchase the game when major updates have been done properly rather then a carbon copy of the previous version.
