Raising the value of a player, without improving him
In the game, Freddy Eastwood starts at 240k, which is far too low.
However I cant see how to raise that to 1.5 million ?
Normally it wouldnt matter but in an online game my Chairman would accept a bid of 800k for him even though he is worth far more!
Ive checked Billy Sharp who is probably the closest level and he starts at 1.5 mil
Any ideas ?

The value of a player gnerally goes up to whatever he is bought for (something i've noticed far more in 07 than previous versions).
However to simply raise his value, you've got to play him, and he's go to perform - simply really, the better he plays the more he's worth.

Yes, but it doesnt make any sense that Billy Sharp and Lee Trundle are worth more than 1.5 million, and Freddy Eastwood is only worth 240k.
His value does go up fairly soon, but it needs to be higher as soon as game starts.
Ive lost him to other clubs before his value jumps for far too low fees now that Chairman can sell your players.
When you manage Southend Eastwood is the only real chance of staying up and if he is sold too cheaply it kills it

If you mean change it as in pre-edit the database you can increase his reputation. So unless his value is set based on a previous transfer his value should be higher.

Ive dont that and it helped, raised it from 240k to 550k
I dont understand why Billy Sharp is set at 1.5 million, and even when I raise Eastwoods reputation to the same level he is only worth 550k though.
Sounds silly but in an online game, with the chairman being able to force you to accept offers I can lose him for a fraction of his real world value.

Also remember if the player is REALLY important you can offer them a huge contract after accepting a bid and he might choose to sign a new contract rather than leave.
