With the upcoming patch will there be two versions one with the data update and one without do ou think?

It's doubtful, the data update will be optional when you are starting a new game rather than overwriting the database like it has in previous versions.

Yes, the game now supports multiple databases so you will be asked which one you want to use upon creating a new game.
