not tested it properly but i highly doubt it im sure SI have tested that or it wouldnt be an option in editor

I've edited the awards twice in the editor and when loading a game this has crashed any idea what i'm doing wrong

It could be anything to be honest. When editing, you could put any sort of weirdness into the game. Perhaps if you set up an award to be announced on, say 1 November 1974 (i.e. before the game started) that would affect it?

If I were you, I'd reload the default database and make your awards again, testing the game each time to see if there are any problems.
