Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Hi Guys

First off I would like to know if this is ok for posting

I am a complete novice to this game & the forum

I have looked through a lot of the tactics information posted on this site trying to glean knowledge from the experts and help!!!

I have looked at a formation of 5-3-2 attacking with narrow width The mentality is on about 12 (the first attacking option)

I use 5 defenders across the back line with both the DR/DL pushing up to support the 2 wingers

My logical thinking for this is to have a solid back line with good wingers for two front men (at least not many goals will be conceded and having two strikers gives an option for scoring goals

Any comments are welcome as this will add to my knowledge

Many Thanks

The idea of a flat back 5 with wingers sounds absolutely crazy to me.

Where is your midfield?

It seems that your defence is too cagey, and your attacking force are going to be very lonely unless you are humping long balls towards them. The formation is very unbalanced.

Standard 5-3-2 uses hard working wing backs instead of wingers on the flank. The opposition is just going to steam through the middle if you are only focussing on the flanks, and 3 centre backs isn't going to be enough to stop them, imo.
