4-4-2 maddog - Taking the treble in season 2 with Boro.
My tactic is on 4-4-2 Diamond, tweaked to play the ball using "Focus passing" I had to do this while playing with Boro, my team had some bad weakness on the sides so I had to make a tactic using and exploiting the right side. Since my team got stronger and I wanted to try using the left side also, I made a "Right side" version, a "Left side" version and a "Centre" version.
Since I admire Cleon and Rashidi`s tactic strategy I tried using barrows on the fullbacks. Thanks. It really prevents the other team wingers getting through to easy.
Using the Target Man on FM07 has so far been a great success for me, using the Target Man to supply they ball to the players around using his heading skills does the trick. Eddie Johnson (USA) is a great Target Man!
In the beginning of the match I always use "Time Wasting rarely" It seems to keep my boys in shape at all time.
Tips:
Bad passing skills in your team? Try short passing and slower tempo!
Since I`m not from the UK this post could contain some language problems. For those who want to know, Uysaler Emircan inspired my to make this post. A great tactician!
Thank you and good luck!

I'm having good success with this as Fiorentina. I finished 6th in Serie A last season and then switched to maddog during the summer. Mid-December and I am first. Only one loss in the league. The Central one seems to work very well on the road. I alternate between the three at home.

Great! Yes, it seems to work even better the second season. With my Boro team I had good success using the centre version away and LS and RS at home. But I guess it is all up to the team and the player material.
Looking forward to see wich place you end up, end of season.

1st. Target man - what do you look for?
- really tall one with good heading
- good allaround @ 185cm 16heading 16 jumping, finishing...
2nd. whats the other striker like? fast and good driblling?
The striker who holds up the ball is the Target Man, and he should have 16+ heading, 16+ strenght, 16+ jumping. The other striker should have good finishing, dribling and speed. It is also very important that the second striker is calm when he gets the ball, like Rooney and Owen.
The Target Man is often a really tall guy. I have also tried using smaller guys, but they should have 16+ in strengt and 16+ in heading.
Good luck
