For the target man choose a player with over 15 in heading, jumping and strength.

For the other striker choose a player with over 15 in finishing, dribbling and pace. Some wingers who can play up front as a second position are often very good here.

Just go to player search and tap in the attributes and see what you get. The target man shouldnt be hard to find.

Iam at the stage where after a couple of seasons iam no longer the underdog and teams have started to play differently against me. Iam just trying to work out a secondry tactic now that works against the harder teams.

I have made some changes to the tactic now, will upload it later today.

For some reason I had some bigger problems away using the barrows on the left and right back so I changed this to no arrows at all. Doing OK at the moment and it will be a winner, 20 matches so far with Reading. 17 win, 3 draw.

Screenshot, tactic download etc. will be posted later when Im home.

Ok. here we go. The 4-4-2 maddog away version:

I have used this away version now for 2 seasons with Aston Villa. It has been a huge success, beeting strong home teams like Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool with great results. As you can see in the screenshots, we are not producing to many chances, Arsenal here got 30 shots, 11 on Target and 19 off target - my team got 7 shots, 5 on target and 2 off target. My team, 2 goals - Arsenal 1 goal. By using wingers with hard tackles it stops the hard counter attack such teams like Arsenal are doing down the sides. A winger with lower then 10 in tackles could end up in not so good results. My defensive line are working great togheter, winning the headers alongside with the DMC who provides short passings to the OMC and the Target Men. Try it out and give my some feedbacks!

PS! For you lads who asked where the Target Men should play; he plays best down the right side, but I guess this is all about the player, if he is left footed you should tweak the tactic using the Target Men on the left side.

Tactic download - 4-4-2 maddog away:

Screenshots:

Match stats - Can I say more?
Team Stats - Look at the defensive line, the DR - DL and both DC are 100 % winning the headers!

League Table - 8 games - 15 for and 6 against in goals are good (+9) My team aint that good, only one (Kevin Nolan) have continental reputation.

Post Match - As you see here, the Target Men are on the right side. I often got two Target Men in match squad, both listed in Target Mens. In this match - Marcia and Johnson.

And for those who care about home tactic.. I have produced a new and better tactic. Please download and it send some feedsbacks!

I've just starting using this tactic for my man city team, results are great, coming of a 4 losing streak with a basic 4-4-2, to beating
Fulham 2-1
west brom 2-1
Wigan draw 1-1
3-2 win against Everton who were lying in 4th place.
Tactic is def working so far.

Great mate! Maybe you should try to tweak your defensive line? You seems to concede some goals?

Have you tried the latest version, v10?

Cheers

I think I desperately need to work on away form, plus the first season I didn't want to change anything just to show you what my results came out as, I’ve nearly finished the first season and still looking good (touch wood).

I'll post some screen shoots in a bit.
