At the start of a new game I always make the assistant manager take charge of team talks as I just can't be bothered with them.

I'm not sure if this has a detrimental affect to my squad or a good effect. Does anybody know?

For example, I have just finished a game with Middlesbrough where I won the UEFA Cup in my 3rd season but I never really did very well in the Premiership until my 4th season.

Do you think it's down to my assistant manager conducting the team talks?

Does the team talk have a big effect on how your players perform?

It can have a big impact at times. At other times, it can have very little impact. It varies from game to game and depends very much on what you have said in previous games.

If you have your Ast. Manager doing team talks, make sure he has a high rating for motivation.

Discipline and adaptability are also important qualities for ast. managers, but I don't know if they are important for team talks.

Actually I have my AM do the team talks as I was hgetting it wrong so much.

His motivational is only 10 yet my results since I changed to the AM giving talks was amazing.

I finished 3rd in Div 2 when predicted 24th. I came back from 2 - 0 at half time on about 5 occasions.

it brings me to conclude that the game is too reliant on team talks and that the AI will get it right on too many occasions.

I will never do my own team talks again which is a shame.

He even got I expect a win to work when I was on a losing streak - the very first time he did a team talk for me.
