I think the key to this tactic is finding outstanding players in FL/FR positions. When I finally did, this formation has been working brilliantly, well done mate.
I signed Ryan Babel and Asamoah Gyan and have not looked back since. I am West Ham in season 3 and I am set for title challenge this season after a couple of top eight finishes.
Good stuff.

Hi Everyone
Is anybody using this still?
I haven't changed one thing, and I'm still doing fantastically well with it!
Just wondered if snyone had any experiences, queries with it.
Thanks, Mike.

| Hey Mike,
I play a 4-3-3 myself but with a slightly diff set up (Anchor man and two centre mids).
The most important thing for me in any formation is getting the right players to fit it, this cannot be emphasized enough. I find that identifying the correct players for a 4-3-3 is far easier than in a 4-4-2 hence me playing that way.
I have 5 versions of the formation for differing situations based mainly on the quiality of the opposition and whether the game in question is home or away. As im in charge of Blackpool im still tweaking and changing things but I intend to do my own thread soon enough.
Cheers fella.

I got Notts Forest into the championship, but the first sixteen games my tactics from the previous season just didn't work at all. so i buggered around with others, and they all failed miserably too.
Then I happened upon your set and I've lost once in eleven. Won 10 lost just the once.
And whereas before if I won, I scraped through with a flukey one, now The Mighty Tricky Trees are positively trouncing the opposition.
Thank you so much.
Now, I might just get the team back to where they deserve and do Cloughy proud

In the 4-3-3 Polished version do you play 1 striker and 2 wingers, or can 3 strikers be used?
I have had a abismal away record (home record is second to none), but using this formation I have lost 1 (although how I lost I'll never know) and won one. So far so good....

Cheers for the feedback lads, it really is appreciated.
blueglod - you can play 3 strikers for sure, just keep the important stats - pace, acceleration, crossing, creativity - there's loads of strikers who canplay that role.
Adu, Lavezzi,Palacio, Delgado, Shaun Wright Phillips plays well there on the right hand side if your looking for a cheapish buy!
I'm still flying with my arsenal game - Top of the league 23 games gone in my 2nd season - my injury list at the mo is shocking: Henry 4 months, Toure 2 months, Baptista 3 months, van persie 4 weeks, Reyes 4 weeks! But still winning!

This formation has worked wonders with my Birmingham team, it has contributed to me winning my last 10 league games (3 were with my old tactic) to turn around a 8 point lead Arsenal had over me at the top of the league.
Also beat them in the Champ league final as well |
