as for corners put your best player in the air on the near post flick on your 2nd best to challenge GK and a goal poacher to stand on far post then set your corner taker to play corners to the near post - this works a treat my CB who is on near post flick on has 12 goals in the EPL alone from this and once scored a hat-trick last season from headers from corners |
Yes, but you forgot to mention that the corner-taker has to be an in-swinger, i.e. lefty should take right corners and vice versa. Similar routine works for far-post corners: just put your high-anticipation goal-poacher on the flick-on near post. I’ve used both these routines and…I didn’t have nearly as much success as some of you guys do (especially with the near-post one as most of them end-up to be side-netters). I am now experimenting with a lurking-outside routine, and it ain’t bad! Put your best long-shooter/finisher to lurk outside, put as many players in the box (near post, ch. keeper, fwd), and set your out-swinger corner-taker to put them in the box.
