Hi, I took over WBA, am in the premier league, but cannot seem to finish above 7th. 5th season now, and its starting to get annoying.
I play 4-3-3, the one with the Attacking Mid Left and Attacking Mid Right. I have set the back 4 to ultra defensive, tight marking, with a fairly deep line, yet I still seem to leak silly goals.
I was wondering whether to go for 'man' marking or even 'man' marking with the opponents name(s) to mark, or should I stick to 'zonal' with 'tight marking' ??
I have purchased 3 top defenders to play with Curtis Davies, yet they still seem to leak silly silly goals. I have even tried to play a anchor man in front of the back 4, and also set the 2 Mid's on defensive, but to no avail.
Any tips on bettering my back 4's marking / goals conceded will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Might be a defensive line issue, with opponents finding lots of space between your defence and midfield, particularly amc's. I don't know tbh.
But I'll ask you a question which I've been asking a lot recently. How do you score goals in a 4-3-3? Can you give me the deails of your attacking minded players, ie midfield, wingers and strikers.
Thanks if you can help me, hope my advice helps.

Hi Moggy, I have only just switched to this formation this season (season 5) out of desperation. I was playin 4-3-1-2, and was hoping that this formation might work.
I have only played a couple of games, so I cant really help you at the moment mate.

Iv got a good solid tactic that you could download and have a look at if your interested. It conceeds very few goals so it could solve your problem in that department
