Hi all,
I play a 4-1-2-2-1, great success going forward and my DM does his defensive role quite well APART from the fact that he seems to linger on the ball, sometimes even infuriatingly standing absolutely still 5 yards outside the box and inviting a challenge! In that case he seems to get a freekick 70% of the time but there is that 30% where he's gifted the opposition a chance. Set my DM to ultradefensive mentality, team passing(direct-ish), little creative freedom and high closing down. Fair enough, the guys I have are not world beaters - 2nd season Leeds in the CCC and I use Nyandoro, Negomashi and Adrain Pitt - but I'd have thought that if it was down to individual ability, this might go away when I swap players. Such a key position to be 'sacked' in! Any tactical advise? I'd rather he blootered it up field and I took my chances there than gave it away in that position.
