There's already been a couple of FM08 threads that have been made based on the demo, but in my opinion these shouldn't have been made so quickly. Whether it's a case of wanting to be the person to start a particular thread, the anxiety of wanting to get an 08 thread started ASAP or something else, these threads should have been delayed for at least a couple of weeks.
In the case of good players, how can you tell that people are good players (except for the case of the known superstars) when the demo has been out only a day? Players in these guides need to be consistently good so you'll have needed to have played plenty on the demo to rate them properly.
As for team guides, the main question that people ask in them is "who to sign". Therefore you need to gather information from other people who have played the game about who they've signed and for how much as well as the people they've sold and for how much too. That's the most important information in the opening post of a team guide, so it should be there seeing as you can't edit posts.
I must admit I was a bit shocked, after coming on here for the first time in a few weeks & finding all these FM08 guides. I think people are getting well ahead of themselves with regards to good player guides, etc. If you look back at the FM07 good player guides, I can honestly say that I pretty much ignore the first couple of pages & obviously going to have to do the same with these ones.
How goes the Hattrick anyway Gra? I've got a big game coming up this week with the team in second place. Could decide who wins the title
We had this discussion in the Man Utd thread, although it was my decision to not make the thread just yet and everyone agreed
I'm not really too bothered about it, however. The only team guides of importance to me will be the Man Utd and Wycombe threads, and I don't use the player threads anyway, but just thought it will tidy the forum up a little and make opening posts better for everyone.
Mayzie: HT's OK. Only lost 3-2 at home to 1st place on Sunday, so things are on the up. Chat to me more on there if you like.
Doesn't really matter when there posted aslong as there quality. All the quality ones will make the official list again like last year. Any duplicate threads will be closed
