I recently developed a huge passion for developing top class regens, and it was only recently i noticed regens actually dont need to play regular competitive FIRST TEAM football to develop and meet their potential, coming on as sub and rare cup appearances is enough?
they can meet their potential playing reserve football... after 5 seasons they are close to meeting potential or only little off which is still great since they only like 23 or 24 and they only need polishing up... do you find this the case too? their mental attributes naturally develop being in a huge squad and giving them tutors help too so a loan isnt necessary...
Am i right??
btw, 18 players are developed directly by me most bought at 17 yo out of 25 players hows ur successes?
there is no set route, the players abilities progressing are related to a number of factors:
Coaches
Training Schedules
Experience
Tutoring
The players determination and ambition rating affects the players progression.
I think having the right feeder clubs are the key, if you can get a decent standard club where your youngsters will play week in week out I find thats the key thing personally.
Many a players have come back ready after 1-2 full seasons with a lower league team
