Default Ever seen a LLåMå on the tundra?

So Frank sent me up the tundra: Skarp IF, above the artic circle, Norway.
To make things more realistic I took the Norwegian nationality.

So, let’s introduce Skarp (CM4):
Skarp is in 2nd division, group 4. There are 4 D2 groups with 14 teams, each with only 1 promotion spot and 3 relegation spots. No play-offs. D2 is the 3rd level after Premier and 1st division.
Located in Tromsø, stadium of only 2500, and awful training facilities.
I do have a transfer budget: £1700 + 45% of sales.
Boards expectations: invest in new players and start rebuilding the team.
Well, that makes sense: only 13 non-grey players…
Luckily the wage budget is somewhat higher than the transfer budget: £4200/wk.
Current wages: £1400/wk, so there’s room for some new guys.
Signed a bunch of unemployed staff and 3 scouted freebies (D, M and F) before the season hits off.

Season 2003 update is up soon. (Up here we play from April to October.)

End-of-season update

Season 2003 – Skarp in D2
Finances: Stayed far below the wage budget during the season and spend only £1208 on transfers. Loss of around 60k made a nice debt of almost 50k…

Signings during the season: only 1 freebie MR and 1 loanie DRC.

League: Good season, little inconsistent.
Spent 9 rounds out of 26 in 1st place. Amongst them rounds 24 and 25. Going into the last round 1 point ahead of Rosenborg 2 and 3 points ahead of Tromsdalen. Together with Hammerfest those were the teams with which we were continuously trading places 1 thru 4.
Hammerfest couldn’t get there anymore on the last day. Tromsdalen only theoretically because of a far less goal difference.
So it was up to Rosenborg 2 and Skarp with us having a far better goal difference. Up to 30 minutes until the end of the season we were still no.1 because of being 0-1 behind and Rosenborg 2 1-1 even. But then… in the 60th minute Rosenborg 2 scored a penalty: 2-1. They were now on top of the league not to give it away anymore. Only 10 minutes later we were 0-2 behind and Rosenborg 2 4-1 ahead. The season was just 30 minutes too long…
Record: P26 W16 D3 L7 51pts GF54 GA19 GD+35. 2nd place, 2 points behind champions Rosenborg 2.
Only 1 team gets promoted. Apparently there’s this rule in Norway where 2nd teams can’t get promoted, so the team promoted is Skarp!!! YES!!! My first ever promotion with an LL team!

Some remarks on the season:
:thdn: FC with 18-rating for penalties missing 2 in just 15 minutes
 Least goals conceded (13 clean sheets), most goals scored.
 Great performances of reserve DMC in FL position due to injured and banned F’s (cups ). Kept him there all season. End of season he got the highest average rating!
 My biggest ever win: 9-0 . My FR scoring 5 (8 all season! :thdn, and my penalty missing FC 3 (5 all season! :thdn.

Norwegian cup: out in 2nd round to a Premier Div club. Ah well…

Rejected job offers: 1 D1 club, 6 D2 clubs.

I was going more along the lines of "Use any more thumb emoticons and I'll break yours", myself

I'm sad that the last thread got closed between my pressing "reply" and "post", so I'll paste my reply here

I wanted a game of "Call My Bluff"

Is Dendrochronology:
(a) The study of the eating habits of cave men
(b) The process of extracting liquid from plants
(c) Analysis of the annual rings of trees to date past events
