i think that worse is if you know you have a future star in reserves, but he has that stupidly low release clause, which of course you don't spot. And then some same division club comes with high enough offer...  |

At least you get cash for that, if he slips out of contract then you have reason to be ****ed off. Losing potentially your best player on a free.

They don't have to be in your reserves for that  I just lost my best MC to a bosman because I couldn't meet his contract demands.
