ok thanks to frank i ended up in the danish 2nd division managing B1913, i started the game with £0 transfer budget, but had quite a good youth set up so wasnt to worried. after a hard season we got promoted as runner ups,
beginning of the next season the board say that we should be lucky to stay up, i wasnt sure. and i felt i was proven right after about 5 games when we were mid table, to cut a long story short a club further up the table approached me with a job offer, which i kindly took. they had more money and were pushing for promotion into the danish premier division. after arriving at the club to find they only had 2 coachs and about half the squad size as my previous club i was beginning to wonder what i had stepped into.
anyway this club is good and has alot of good players so we starting winning games, and lossing a couple. we are currently lying second in the league (which is the final promotion spot) by a point, with 2 games left to go.
i have never seen such an open league for example 8th place is only 5 points behind me, so can still stand a chance of getting promoted.
my delima starts when wrexham coming knocking on my door offering me there job, i am through out has been to try and reach one of the top 3 leagues in europe and win it. so this is tempting
but they lie 15th in league 1, are hugly over there wage budget and dont have very good players, but do have a bit of money to spend.
my question is do i take the job, and hope i can turn wrexham around and push them up or do i stay where i am and get promoted (hopefully) do well with them in the premier league and hope a better/another job offer comes along later????
i think the key difference between the two words is opinion, but the use of the words was a method to try and portray the fact that i was struggling to make a desicion on the above.
but dont worry about it, its irelevnt now seeing as i turned down the job offer and pushing for promotion with my danish club,
on your other point i have been reading and enjoying the posts on here, and definetly dont want run afoul of anyone so will listen to peoples advice
jc...
Well Xaxo, I you want to be known as a mercenary manager feel free to jump to your 3rd team in what 4 seasons? I mean... you know, if loyalty means nothing to you...
didnt jump in the end, stayed put and got promoted, but it would acutally have been my 3rd club within 2 seasons, but i decided to stick it out and try to get this team into europe, or i will jump ship to a better team half way through the coming season.
now trying to decided who to spend my grand budget on, but can see it just sitting there dripping away on new coachs and of course a pay rise for me!!!
oh sorry jcb23, i was on the defense and missed the joke, damn normally quite good at getting these things ah well, theres always next time!!!
