Good going, KUTGW!! | Harrogate is a fantastic little club.
1st season: Promotion via play-offs
2nd season: relegation back to Conf North
3rd season: promotion as champions
Just preparing to try and consolidate in the Conference. Turned down about ten jobs so far to stay and complete the job.

Well I got myself a new job. I'm mangaing Lancaster now. For some reason I really hate this team but I don't know why.
I finished the year W 1, D 4, L 7, four points clear of the drop. I'm playing season five (my first full one with Lancaster) now.

Well, things aren't so good here at Lancaster. Abosolutely no one will come here to play. The board won't allow me to offer more than £300/week for wages. In his team report my AssMan says I have no hope to avoid relegation with the current crop of players. So with my record in my second Lancaster season (5th in this game) at 5-9-10, the Dag & Red job opened up. They're in the ECS after getting dropped last season. They accepted me and I will now take over a team that is in fourth place in the ECS with a record of 10-8-6. They have more resources than any club I've ever managed, with a transfer budget of £190k!
The bonus is that Dag & Red is a team that I actually follow in real life.

I just finished my first complete season at Dag & Red and I'm just barely hanging on. I finished the season in 12th at 14-14-14, which is a record low performance for the club. A third of the way through the season I was in the drop zone and got my first ultimatum from the board. Of course the game was against first place Basingstoke so I figured I lose and get sacked, so I made up a bizarre looking tactic (nothing else was working) and the lads responded with a 5-0 win. I stuck with this tactic and was saved for the time being. After a rash of injuries and two drubbings I faced another ultimatum and again my job was saved.
The 2010-11 season is about to start (the 2010 WC just ended. France beat Argentina 1-0) . I suspect I need a fast start to keep my job. One new twist the game has given me is in the transfers area. This is the first team I've managed with a large (to me) transfer budget. I find many times where I'll put in a bid for a player valued and offered at 2k, then get a counter-offer for 35k!!! It's very maddening. Does anyone else encounter this? Is there anything I can do about it?

2010-2011 Dag & Red
This was my best season ever since I've been playing Fm 2005. We twice had runs of 16 games without a loss during the season. The Daggers finished third in the ECS. We lost in the first round of the playoffs to Rushden & Diamonds by a 3-2 aggregate score.
There were no major acquisitions or sales during this season. I suspect that's going to change in the upcoming season.
Englis conference South- 3rd, 17-20-5, GD +26.
FA Cup- Lost in 1st Q round.
FA Trophy- Lost in 3rd round.
Lost in ECS semi-final playoff 0-1,2-2.
