With the board and Rooks fans expecting me to stay clear of relegation, £312,311 in the bank and a £24,000 +40% of sales transfer budget, I am looking for a strong challenge for promotion.
The bookies agree, installing Burton, Aldershot & Lewes as 7-4 co favourites for promotion. Wage budget still restricted to £3600 per week.

Oh dear.

We started well, lying top for the first third. Then it went pear shaped and we dropped like a stone to mid table. We threatened for the playoffs when form recovered but ended up finishing 9th* to fortunately miss out on the Vans Suck Arse Cup next season.

*Will need to check to clarify.

F.A. Trophy was a nightmare, losing 2-0 at home to Ossett Town in Round 3.
F.A. Cup was a godsend. Wins over three non league teams saw me reach Round 3 for the first ever time, where a 5-0 drubbing at Villa Park was more than compensated by the £520,000 it brought me in gate money, giving me financial clout to retain the players I want to.

A couple of things pre-season worth noting.

It seems that the relocation of teams in Conference North & South is somewhat messed up. Although there are no Northern teams in the South division, there are Hornchurch, Redbridge, Thurrock and Tiverton Town all playing in the North division. Three of those play in London while Tiverton is in Devon.


Secondly, Billericay Town have been promoted to the South, but unfortunately have a manager

I would keep an eye on their progress... This so called 'manager' could be sacked or suffer an 'accident'( :list: ) .

Are there any Conf. N/S teams located in Devon at the start of FM out of curiosity? Though I think I'm set on Worksop.
