Default Started off unemployed, but then.....

I got offered the job of St Albans City in the Conference south, currently sitting in 17th position in the middle of October.

Season 04/05
I knew a lot of work had to be done, but the chairman would have been happy to stay in the division.
I used my skills in the loan market to bring in a midfielder and a defender, also signed a keeper for £1k, and another striker for free but with a 50% sellon clause, all during my first season.

I managed 2nd place, lost in the play off semis
FA Cup: 4th qualifying round reply
FA Trophy: semi finals

Season 05/06

Promotion was achieved this season finished 1st on 77 points, beating Margate by 2 goals, as they also finished on 77 points, I brought in a few young free transfers from big clubs who couldn't make a name there

FA Cup: 3rd qualifying round
FA Trophy 1st Round

Season 06/07

Well Conference National, against the odds I'm here, I won the division in my first season, 9 points clear and straight into the football league, with the help of my 25 goal striking superstar who came on a free transfer

FA Cup: 3rd Round, lost 1-0 to Crewe in a reply after holding them 1-1 at home

FA Trophy: 4th Round

Season 07/08

Well, League 2 football, aim survival, kept pretty much the same squad expet replacing my loanees from the previous season, one notible signing was a brilliant left winger, who made 24 assists. My top striker from last season this time netted 22 times in total, 19 in the league.
I finished 7th, making the playoffs, loosing on penelties to Port Vale after a 3-1 win at home in the first leg and lossing 3-1 in the seccond.

FA Cup: 2nd round lost 2-1 to League 1 Swindon in a replay after holding them 1-1 at home

League cup: lost in round 1 (oh well!!!)

Well thats me up to date, i'll post after my season has finnished, not even started yet, but I'll let all you guys know

You got them promoted in your first full season? Spent 4 and half years there only to crash out in the play-offs several times

Good luck with the Saints and KUTGW!

In my first full season I started off poor and thought i'd be in a relegation scrap, but I found a stratagy which just worked (obviously I'm going to keep what it was under my hat it's the rules!)

I'm finding it tough in league 2 though

Season 08/09

Another year in League Two, I made a few decent signings, a new goalkeeper and an Italian striker were the most notible.
The Italian striker notched up 38 goals (31 in league) He made a good partnership with my other striker who scored 24 (21 in league) but had a few injuries.
I struggled to start with, but in one match vs Exeter City, I was 1-0 down at half time, and my captain had picked up a knock and his physical condition was 58% so I brought him off, I changed my captain, obviously, for the remainder of the match and I totally dominated, despite the game only ending 1-1.
After that we went on a very long unbeaten run with my new captain and scoring plenty of goals. Finally finishing 2nd, winning promotion to League One

League Two: 2nd
FA Cup: 3rd Round (lost 4-2 to Championship side Burnley)
League Cup: 2nd Round (lost 4-0 to Premiership side Man City, and having 10 men for 76 minutes)
LDV Vans Trophy: Area quater finals (lost on penelties to League One Rushton & Diamonds after a 1-1 draw
