I have a friend who went to England to see Bromsgrove Rovers play for the exact same reason. He didn't discover them in CM originally though, but played them there as well when he got the chance.

He got interviewed in some Bromsgrove paper about his trip and interest for the club.. :o

I know a guy who flew to Poofland to watch Leigh RMI play Telford, and he's going to watch Thurrock play this weekend

I know a guy who flew to Hungary to watch some semi pro style team. Then didn't get in.

I know a guy who flew to India (took a bus actually) to see the team he was managing in CM03/04 and ended up watch their youth side.

Going to watch an Indian youth team was quite funny. They all mistook me for an English scout and feted me. Owing to my limited skills in Bengali I failed to correct this mis-identity :cool:
