Assuming the patches mean that I don't have to restart, an update thread.
As they're available, I really should play as them. Let's see how far I can take the mighty Weston-super-Mare before jumping ship.
Conference South, no money and a pretty poor team.
About a third of the season in and have had a reasonable response to coach and scout ads. Plenty of players being pointed out but they're all Welsh league rejects. Out of the FA cup in the second qualifying round and keep popping in and out of the playoff positions.
I really need a half decent striker to convert some chances - not suffering from superkeepers, just crap finishing.

The more astute amongst you will have worked out from the first post exactly where this was heading; I had feared as much myself. Let's string this out a little anyway.
Managed to loan in a player who knew how to hit a cow's arse with a banjo, he repaid me with 26 goals from October. Ended up third in Conference South, one point behind Margate and nine behind champions Newport County. P42 W22 D11 L9 77pts (enough to have won Conference North by 6 points!).
South semi final versus Hornchurch - 3-3 away, 4-0 at home.
South final versus Margate, who had taken 6 points off us in the league. With tactical acumen and good fortune in equal measure, managed to squeeze out a 1-0 victory.
Conference North/South playoff final against Hucknall. Team selected, all fit, ready to play. Click go to match. Click <yes> on dialogue box. Wait a second! This isn't the match preview screen, it's the Conference North table. KNOWN BUG! I can't play the Conference playoff final until the patch is released. SORTITOUTSI!!!!!
Out of the FA Cup in the round q2, out of the FA Trophy in round 4. Received two job offers - Rochdale, 12th in League 2 and Lincoln, 24th in League 2.

If you want to, you can holiday through the playoff final and let your assman be in charge. Not a perfect solution, but it works.

Likewise, I had the same problem managing Redbridge. Rather than give up on a season's effort, I went on holiday for a day, with strict instructions to my ass man to use my team selection and tactics. Then I cross my fingers and waited.
Thankfully, we triumphed 3-2 and got the promotion.
Bit of a major bug though I'll agree.

nasty, are you going to have to restart the game or are you hoping that the patch will allow the fixture to proceed. Hope i don't get stuck in the playoffs in my game (mind you that would involve qualifying for the play-offs first).
Anyone know if the same bug exists as a Conference North side out of interest?
