If Im a slow player, I.e one season per month, who would question it if I posted an update every half month/half season?

As long as you've completed 3 seasons and updated them, play at whichever pace fits you. Or, you could contact the mods and ask for permission, the case you describe has been considered.
Read the sticky about abuse and updates, it can't be any clearer than that.

As long as you have permission from the mods, no-one as far as I know.

I have asked the mods, but still awaiting a reply.
Nearly starting the 3rd season, but by the time I get a reply it wont be worth questioning!
Anyway, still love this site! |

p.s. All my friends at work in Helsinki are jealous of the LLM way and feel a little bit cheap picking their regular PL teams and players. Slowly bringing them on side
One who is Belgian boss and MK dons Manager especially feels dirty! Just hope they all play by the rules, even though we are all long term FM players, its hard to forget the good players.
But with this forums guidance, it is a great challenge.
FTR 1st time EVER I have never been promoted in my 1st season. Cant be a better challenge than that
Now my friends are asking me what the rules are!
Scarey cos I dont know them really myself!
FTR Our little community is One of each, Scots Portugese, Irish, Pooflandish, Belgian, and Romanian.
We are babies in your eyes, unless you are M.J. But I hope one day they will all join this forum.

I'm midway through the fourth season.
Rather than post the details of the first three all at once, I decided to make the update more readable by posting in stages - hence "posting myself up to date". Nothing ambiguous about that to an English speaker (which is clearly why Ian didn't get it... )
If you're that convinced I'm breaking the rules, findefinn, emmail me and i'll send you a screenshot with the date in. Or, if the mods decide I need to post the three seasons of details now, I'll do that - but that ain't what the rules say, so thats why I didn't do it for starters...
For the avoidance of doubt, I'll post the first seasons update now, and then progress with one a day until I'm up to date.
Season 2004: Anapolis FC
Transfer budget: £0
Wage Budget £5,500.
My plans for squad adaptation fall flat on their face as my scout fail to find any free agents to work with except a DMC from Argentina. Eventually I dig up a couple more free transfers - one talented full back, and a veteran left midfielder, who proceeds to start every game for me. Otherwise, though, its a struggle - no staff want to join except those at other clubs whom I can't afford because of the lack of budget, so growth opportunities are "restricted".
Standings:
Goias State Champs: 4th, then knocked out by local rivals Anapolina in the playoff semi-finals.
Third Division: 5th.
Brazilian Cup: 1st Round.
Average attendance (calendar year 04): 1420.
Financial Status: £220k in the red. Ouch. the board injected £100k of funds in the mid-season break, too.
A steady first season that keeps the board happy, but not much to write home about.

Sorry if you think I was doubting you
I was only making an observation about the rules.
Good luck in Brazil

I love Brazil. You said in your first post you weren't sure of promotion and stuff, but as you're into your fourth season now, I suspect you can see how it works now. If not, give me a shout and I'll explain. It's a lot easier now than in CM00-01, where it was based on seedings and how hairy the chairman's legs were.

I'm getting the hang of Brazil, slowly. What I'm really aiming for is a job offer in Argentina. I want to manage River Plate...
Season 2005:
Transfer budget: £0
Wage budget £6,000
Much better - eventually, a bulk of players and staff fall out of contract so I am able to advertise for some staff and find ones who are not under contract - so no "fee". I pick up two coaches, 4 scouts and 3 physios. Oh the luxury! I also find an AssMan, although I'm not sure if he'll be more hindrance than help or not, yet. He appears to be more suite to a job in another profession. Any other profession...
I also find some young players through my scouting attempts. I sign around 12 of them in a variety of positions. One of them starts a few games at right mid, one starts a few games at left back, and a couple of others look likely to get a first team slot, maybe next season. I look for loan signings, but any that I can easily find, don't want to play for me. I guess the reputation of a 30 year old Englishman coaching in Brazil leaves something to be desired.
Standings:
Goias State Champs: 5th, despite a better performance than last year. Knocked out by... yes, local rivals Anapolina, this time in the quarters. Curses.
3rd Division: 3rd place on goal difference... just, therefore, missing an entry into the round of 32 promotion playoffs.
Average Attendance (calendar year 05): 8410
Financial Status: £280k in the red - no board injection this time...
