A Driving Success (Vauxhall Motors)

Season One
I took over a poor team to say the least there was only 4 or 5 players worth keeping immediately I but my unwanted players on the transfer list and went out searching for some new players. I was expected to avoid relagtion.

Signings
I had no money to spend so all these where free transfers:

AML – Very good
AMC – Old but still good
AMR – Young and lots of potential
DL – Old but reliable
CF – Young and superb
DL/DC/DR – Versatile player
AML – Back-up
LB/CB/RM/DMC/DMR/DML – Versatile player
GK – Looked good turned out to be err… not good
CF – Old but clinical in front of goal
AMR – Back-up player
DMC – Good all-round player

League Position
3rd Vauxhall Motors, 75points

Into the playoffs I went but sadly lost in the semi final on penalties to Barrow.

Season Two
Despite a good first season my expectations was only to finish in mid-table I wanted more I wanted promotion.

Signings
Still had no money to spend

3 CF’s – All young and good for this level
2 GK’s – both good
3 DF’s – to improve the backline
+ 4 players on loan from League One clubs

League Position
1st Vauxhall Motors, 81 points

Dramatically won the title on the last day as Droylsden who where 2 points clear only drew and I won my game. So I won the league on goal difference.

Season Three
Board and fans Expectations where to avoid relegation and so where mine. I wanted to draw and build my squad up in the conference for a few seasons.

Signings
Got a mere £6k to spend I immediately spent on one of the players I loaned last season.

DMC – cost £6k worth every penny
4 CF’s – To improve my firepower
3 DF’s – 3 very good defenders 2 out of 3 of them went straight into my first team.
+ 1 loan players from EPL club (superb)

League Position
Haven’t quite finished this season yet I’ll update as soon as I do.

Oh yeah should mention my first two season where in the Conference North and i got promoted to the Conference National.

Just been knocked out of the FA Trophy at the semi final stage (never do well in cups anyway). Season nearly finished (in April now) and i'm doing better than i ever expected.

Vauxhall Motors Update

Season 3 - 2006/07
First season in the Confrenece National

I started the season fairly well, was in mid-table with about a dozen games played then all of a sudden my team started to play well. I went on a 9 game winning streak and before i knew it i was top. With only three games to go i was still top on goal difference. Then everything went pear-shaped i lost my last three games and slipped down to 5th.

But that was a play-off place. The semi-final was against Aldershot i managed to get through i won 6-5 on aggergate. To the final and it was the impressive looking Cheltenham. My team totally crumbled under the pressure and i went on to lose 3-0 another season in the Confrenece then.

1 loan from the EPL is feasible - if that player is a youth player. If it was loads of loans from the EPL, I might suggest that things don't appear to be LLM.

I've gone onto sign that EPL player i had on loan. Yes he is fair young, 21 i think.

As long as he was found by the scouts (without specifically scouting the Premiership) on a general UK search, then I don't see a problem personally.
