I'm playing Liverpool and I was playing against Man City.I had 9 goals disallowed.I'm using the beta patch v.2.I just hope it's a freak inadent.

there are still too many goals disallowed with the 2nd beta patch. most of them from offsides...

I would have agreed that sounded like a lot until I just had 4 disallowed in a League 1 game I lost 1-2. Actual game; not beta. Happens to me about once per game. Happens to the AI, too.

Makes watching the games maddening. It is bad enough that every time I score I anticipate a whistle calling it back.

Now, that can't really be a good thing, right?

not really mate, on average i have 3 disallowed goals per game, I think i might even have had 1 or 2 near the amount he's complaining about. they happen way too often and is one of the many reasons i've actually stopped playing 08, i've gone back to my old 07 games, at least when my guys put a cross into the box i used to get a bit excited that we might score a goal, now i just wait for the inevitable penalty against me.

right im having the same damn problem- every game i have atleast two disallowed goals- occasionally in my favour but more often than not my team >.< bit of a pain really and i know exactly what you mean by "maddening to watch" and "expecting a whistle" end up dreading my attacks lol

Sad ain't it? I hope there is a patch soon that addresses it.

it's not just sad mate, it's a joke. pretty much every tactic i've ever designed relies upon getting that ball high and into the box, either for the header in the net or the volley from outside the box (ala gerrard), however in this version i either give away a free kick, or if they get their head to the ball or it hits the woodwork it bounces nicely for an AI player. I don't mind rebounds going against me, however, not 89% of the damn time! i actually did the math a bit ago, after i worked out some figures i quit!! it's so depressing getting 65% possession, 23 shots on target and being very very lucky to win 1-nil. back to 07 for me!

You know, you just reminded me about the woodwork. So true. I get a ton of those every game and almost never, ever get the rebound and put it in. And, I amplaying with two quick and dirty poachers, so...argh!!!

And, the outshooting thing with just one goal is also an '07 phenomenon, so I don't know if you can expect any respite from it there.

But b/t the cracking the woodwork, offsides and fouls...I can't wait for the patch!

Well I am also playing with the second beta patch and have to say that I have hardly had any disallowed goals which would suggest that the problem with people still having them would be their tactics.
