I remember seeing someone's game where he ended up riding Coventry's bench. Had a good laugh at that one.

Always signed him in FM07 for 10M, he just wold not play for Spurs (anybody know why he doesn't like them) and for Liverpool.

His wage demands where always very low (11000 to 15000).

He was a pure star for me at Portsmouth, and we won the league in first season with Becks scoring 26 in the league, about half from FK's.

He just went to Everton in the FM07 game I am playing (weegie update). It would make sense in FM08 that they hard code this, because they can't really put in the game all the money he is making "on the side" with endorsement deals, especially with the salary cap in the MLS. Even if that wasn't in place, LA would go broke paying what he is actually making!

I kind of started the bidding war for him as Rangers. LA wanted 10 million US for him, and I wasn't about to pay that. He went for something like 11 million to Everton, and is injured, of course

It's no problemem to sign Beckham to Tottenham in Fm07. Bought him in the start of the second season, after finishing third in the league

One thing that irks me about Becks in FM08 is that he's "Definitely not going to remain in football" after retirement. IRL he's definitely going to stay in the game, either coaching kids or even taking up management.

And to you who said beckham's stats are overrated, they aren't. He's still one of the key players for England (just watch the matches he missed, catastrophical) and has proven himself to be worldclass on the wing (although injured in America)

LA would lose a lot of money on selling beckham (considering they are already losing money by him being injured) and to buy him would cost you at least £120m, as that's what the crazy americans are making on him, and more.
I don't see anyone wanting to pay that riddiculus sum of money for Beckham, even though he is star (but strangely not good enough for the international team in fm08...)

Oh and Chelsea? COME ON. He's a United boy, he'll always be one, why the heck would he go to Chelsea?

He'd probably like to return to ManUtd, that is 2 years ago, but he's made the choice based on his family and retirement plans. Clever guy that Beckham, wouldn't have thought it when you first saw him though.

He's easily transfered in FM07, cost me 5M + 10M after 30 International apperances (not that I was ever planing on paying that 10M )
