As the title says really. I started playing the CM/FM series when CM 4 started, so have never played 01/02 and I've heard so much about it and would like to play it. So is there anyway to download it in the recent digital download style used for FM?

Nope, but you can usually find it in Game etc for about £3.

The Digital Downloads thing is a fairly new method of purchasing games, and many companies don't backdate their catalogue to make older games available in this manner. I don't know why, because if you were to charge, say, a couple of quid for old versions, I'm sure they'd get a bit of extra money.

But then, I don't know how many man hours it would take to set up a digital download for old games. Would it be worth it? Who knows.

The infrastructure and systems are in place to allow downloading for the FM games, so it wouldn't be too much extra work to allow downloading of the back catalogue of CM.

However, I'm not sure if SI own the rights to distribute CM games anymore.

If they do, they should definitely allow downloading of past versions.

I imagine it would be very difficult to arrange with Eidos and SI claiming certain things.

Why not use Ebay? you'll probably be able to get a copy for a couple of quid. In fact i might sell some of my old copies, they're just taking up shelf space.

best game ever, howveer, i really doubt it will work on any new pc's, it only works on my laptop whichh is old, but because my laptop, only 20gb, has a huge memeory compared to what was available then, it runs so fast, and i can go on holiday for 20 minutes and like 2 seasons fly by, you need to have direct x or something, i warn now
