Basically I want to have a small picture within the text input box for searches. When the user clicks the search box to type something this picture it then hidden.
Now I've tried using what's already there for the 'delete search text' button
I presumed changing that to mode="0" would do the opposite - hide the item when text is input rather than displaying it. It doesn't seem to work though. Looks like it might be an id linked thing and also single use.
I've had a play around with a few other things but can't get anything to work. Any ideas?

I know you've probably thought of this but would there not be a way of positioning it above the search bar layer so it sits on top of where you want it.
Or you could always make it and image and have it extend the search bar but still look like its part of the search bar.
