after i edited my files, it has always saved in the defualt location automatically.
location normally is:
My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager/db/(your saved file)

i try to avoid naming files that might cause conflictions/confusion to the AI, i really dont know if that does have an effect or not.

eg. when i created my world league i saved as:
Name: World league
Author: NW Challenge
Description: world club challenge
version: (leave it blank)

luckily i have yet to experience any problems relating to loading and gameplay.

i've found mine, i've recently had to re-install windows to a new partiton so the game was running from a different location to my database files. I moved them and now i'm fine. Thanks for helping.

I can't load my edited database either - I never get an option when I start a new game.

Can we get a clear answer from SI on why it's doing this?

LOL - found that out last night!!!!

When I first got FM2007 - it let me load default or customised db

Next time......it never asked - so of course it confused me and I had not a clue how to or why it would not load my customised db.

So I reinstalled it, and the option came up again.

Then I saw that the wizard box has now been ticked!!

did you copied your edt files and ddt files from the default db to your customised db?

if not you have to copy them to there and then the takeovers will work, with out the edt/ddt files in your customised db folder it will not happen.
