Rep Power: 0 | Whos the brain behind injuries?
I have a question I am just dying to find out. Who is the brain behind the idea of having 3-4 injuries per game? Is it possible to get his address so that I can beat him with a giant stick?
Seriously, I get an average of like 1.5 injuries per game. Just finished a match against Manu (with leeds), 3 injuries for me in the first half. With another team, I have 8 (!) first teamers out with injuries, and they all happen during games, not training.
There are so many aspects about this game I simply love, the scout and training thing to mention a few. But, the injuries are killing the game for me. Its not fun anymore when on match day the only thing you think about is if you can manage to get away from the match with only one minor injury.
The question is valid though, for what reason have injuries been brought so massivily into the game? An attempt to simulate real world football, where some teams struggle alot with injuries? Or is the absurd frequency of injuries bug related? And if so, how in gods name was it possible to miss this with all the game testing (presumably) that have been done?

Couldn't agree more. It totally spoils the game, since most of your substitutions are to replace injured players and not to make tactical chages.
And have you realized if you make your third sub before minute 60 there will always one more injured player so that you play with one man less? This if you're lucky that none of your players have been sent off, wich in my case almost happens every game, altough i have tackling set to normal.
This game is brilliant (and i mean it) except for the part you can't play it because of excessive injuries and sent offs.

Use FMM to amend the injury status down to 5. You do still get injuries but they are generally less frequent, less lengthy and more realistic.

Injuries are without a doubt one of the most realistic aspects of the game.
Take a look to FC Barcelona, Valencia o Atlético de Madrid and you'll see how they are plent of injured players.
Or this table about injured players on premiership.
Please SI, don't change it anyway!!!
(Sorry for my poor English)

I'm playing plymouth and more than half of my squad is injured LOL anyhow it depends on the player as well. If they are more injury prone then you'll be sure that they'll get injured during a game.

Oh dear..
Where do I start.. hum. To JOAKFM. That list you gave just proved my point, have you given two seconds studying that list? Which team have 8 first teamers out with injuries? And we are talking about red injuries, not the doubtful kind of injuries which that list mostly consist of. Most of the guys on that list are back again sometime this month. In FM07, the minor kind of injuries are hardly present. You want realism? well, maybe you should know what realism is first. I have played football all my life, not at top level though. And I have never been injured, not even once. But the virtual players I am in command of seem to fracture their bones everytime some opposition is touching them. Realism?? Get serious mate.
