You really need a good target man to make this work, otherwise there's no point in using it. I've tried to use it a few times in my game as Brazilian division 3 side Boavista (RJ) and my problem is that none of my strikers are that good in the air, the best one has jumping 13 and is just 6ft tall.
After a few failures I decided to change to it with ten minutes to go with the score 0-0 in a match where the opposition were shutting me out with a 3-3-2-1-1. I shifted my players around and pushed my centre-back with jumping 15 up front as the target man. 84th minute, he gets the flick on for my midfielder to run through and score and I then put him back in defence to grind out a 1-0 win.
So if you're going to use it just put the player who's best in the air up front, it doesn't matter whether they're a centre-back, a full-back or a midfielder. All they need to do is just flick it on for somebody else.
