What is the best way to utilise Cristiano Ronaldo to get him to replicate his real-life goalscoring exploits, and more to the point dominate with his dribbling.

run with ball.
Not a very useful response? Play down the flanks, let Ronaldo run forward often and run with ball often. If you play him in the AMR position, you might wanna try giving him a darrow to the FC position so he would cut inside more and try to score.
As the other posts are saying, you should give him forward runs often and run with ball often. The tip on putting a darrow on him so that points from his AMR/AML positon (if you play him there) to the FC position is also a good thing. Apart from those tips that was already given you can try to give him a freerole, more creative freedom and then reduce the crossing a bit so he wont always try to get down deep and cross. Try crossing mixed or even rare depending on how you would like to use him. You can also put the long shots up to mixed or often and try the same for through balls. This would make him play different than the conventional winger that always go down deep to cross as a cross machine.
Must add a thing, perhaps you want to reduce the forward runs on him to mixed also, that would make him play a bit deeper and the other players will have easiyer to find him with a ball to the feet. This way he will be in a better position to make a dribble against his defender.
