You know when you get scout reports you do the opposite of what the other team are going to do tactically. e.g. if they do have a high tempo game, then you should take it slow.

This works pretty much most of the time, but it doesnt make sense?

If to counter a tactic then you should do the opposite to it then that means that the other team is doing the opposite of your tactic and they are countering you?!?

i thought about that aswell i while back, also people say when the opposition go slow u go fast, well if you go fast you are playing into there hands by giving the ball away too much!!

I often think about this too so I always go short passing if I am the better team, this is because it will prevent them from playing their normal game and because I think direct passing is way too risky!

However, If they are playing short passing I will close them down more to make sure they don't have time to play at a slow tempo.
