I have tried them all and I am still undecided -some seem to get better as the season goes by and I am not sure if any of them is actually ready since the beginning of the season.

Cech starts the best and unless you play for 12-15 seasons will continue to be for the entire game. with the young up and comers like Ustari and Akinfeev it's completely up to how you feel on the day, i've used them all and been well pleased with them until the super regens start appearing in 2009 or so.

Gordon and Akinfeev are a probably more european competition ready at the start of the 2007 season while Ustari and Ochoa probably need more development but end up being better in the long run.

I started a game (as Atlético) and bought Ustari. I was overly happy with for the first seasons but stuck with him, his rating was barely above 7. However, after he turned 26 years old this began to change and he became a phenomenal GK. His INF is usually very high also so he's good choice for capt. I prefer to have DF or GK as captains.

Also forgot to mention Diego Cavalieri who is one of the better GK's in the game, very consistent.

Casillas or Ustari imo.

In my experience, at the beginning of game it's between Casillas and Cech. Enyeama is the best VALUE keeper IMO, but certainly knocking on the door of the best.

Long-term (not including regens) I find Vito Mannone from Arsenal gets a full call-up to the Italy squad when he's around 23-24 but unable to displace the regulars, and that's only if he gets a good deal of first team exposure. Have used him regularly at Leeds, but mainly as backup to Enyeama. Avg 8+ rating, though.

'Nuther good chap for the future is Geoffrey Jourdin. Available for <100k early on in the game and when I played as Chelski he replaced Cech when the bigheaded lump needed a new challenge about my 6th season in. Was France number one by the end of the season.
