afonso alves i think he is valued at about 3.7mil but will cost about 11.25mil. last season i think he was top european scorer and he has just got 7 tonight against heracles as heerenveen beat heracles 9-0. has anyone tried him yet? does anyone plan to? is he any good on the game?

didnt look him up in fm08 but i messed up big time in fm07 with man utd,spending 15m on the flop

He is a superb player. Chelsea were rumoured to be after him last season. Wasn't good on 07, hopefully will be better on 08 :thup:

If I remember rightly, he is very quick. It seems that in FM08, pacey attackers are looked upon favourably. So! As long as those ratings are up there, then I am sure he will be a superb acquisition despite his poor appearance!

lets hope they upgrade him before the game comes out lol. 7 goals in 1 game thats more than what any premiership player has scored this season i think. adebayor and someone else on 6.

well il look him up later tho when i was in brazil over the summer i watched him in copa america and i dont think he could hack it at top level

Just took a look at him in my Newcastle game and he looks good, pretty solid stats and has 9 goals in 12 appearances with an average rating of 8 so far.

Despite his goal scoring record, he is pretty overrated to be honest. Huntelaar is a better player, thats for sure. People think Alves is some kind of god because of the number of goals he scores, but his overall play doesnt impress me that much.
Pope of Pot, King of Nothing - He isnt that fast to be honest.
