Yep i know what you mean. tried him on right wing, then as part 3 CM's. In the end my overall tema perf improved with him and sissoko in CM (Alonso droped). He improved, but his ave rating only 7.0 which isn't good for a world class player. Since he has great attacking and defensive skills I don't tie him down to a specific task i.e. player instructions.

But I agree, he certainly underperforms for me.

Slightly off sibject, but as captain, has anyone asked him his opinions on who your team should sign via the player interaction stuff.

Would be interested to read other views on Gerrard...

One of my aims when I took the Liverpool job was to
do what the likes of Paisley and Benitez have done and that is to give the fans a European night to remember, a memorable night at Anfield in Europe if you like.

And after losing 3-2 to Ajax away in the CL first leg (Knockout-stage) the stage was set for another phenomenal European night at Anfield in Europe. No Gerrard, out for 2 weeks. Could I win? Of course I was confident but with over 5 regulars out injured against table-topping, famous Ajax I didn't think it'd be easy. That's where I was wrong, it was.

Well, you see, I played this formation/tactic/team together with these team instructions (although I changed several times throughout the match) and told the players to do it for the supporters. They did.

Right, I'm ready to be shouted at here but on we go...

The first thing I did as new manager of Liverpool was.....Punt Stevie G for 33.5 million to chelski!! Kewell to Tottenham, Zenden to AV and Bellamy to Valencia. After all this transfer shenanigans I had almost 50 million in the bank. So I went shopping.

David Villa 24 million (buyout clause at the start of the game)
Maxi Rodriguez 16 million (buyout clause)
Flamini 5 and a 50% sell on (back-up to momo and alonso)

I have lost once in all my games in the run-up to christmas and have scored almost 100 goals (Villa gets injured for a week, comes back and scores 1-2 a game, then gets injured and so-on)

I've qualified for the first knockout round of the CL, I'm 5 points clear of Chelsea (thats after beating them 2-1 away) and the only thing I have struggled with is having to play Sami at the back as I don't have a decent captain otherwise, I'll be addressing that in January/summer, going to try and sign Gabriel Milito....

I've also started a game where I didn't sell Stevie G. I'm doing really badly. Can't score, can't defend, sitting mid table and going to struggle to get into Europe. Stevie is going in January in that game...
