ive just been promoted with southampton. and i basically need a new back four. the season has jus finished and i have 7mil and id think i should get another 10mil or so once the the seaon sarts. so i would like some ideas on premship quality defenders who would be good for southampton and wouldn't need replaced for another couple seasons.

great choice of club mate :thup: when i was promoted with saints i think i said avoid relegation and got about 13 mill to spend. I signed Bocanegra from Fulham on a free, Nordtveit from Arsenal for 1.5 mill, Pamarot from the filthy skates (pompey) and Assou-Ekottou (sp) from Tottenham. This back four managed to keep me up but id say you should try and sign another striker as Saga doesnt cut it in the prem
