Full Season 06/07

We did well this season, but our performances were still unconsistant. Luckily, 80% of the league were the same, so I stayed just out of a play-off spot.

A scout report came in about a good striker who was playing reserves in Preston. Due to the overload of strikers, I wouldn't of started negotiations, but I did notice he had 8 goals in 12 games in reserve games this season.

I spilled the 12k to Preston, and I had my new striker.

AND WHAT A STRIKE!!!

He was putting the goal in here, there EVERYWHERE. He successfully drove the team to 4th place, unable to catch the top 3 who played well from the start.

I also signed an incredibly talented goalkeeper from Liverpool, so I guess that helped.

I had already lost one playoff going in to this (with Margate), so I was hoping for the best. And we pulled through! After disposing of Aldershot, we beat Port Vale in the FINAL! We dominated the match, and were set to win 1 - 0, but they pulled a lucky one back. Luckily due to a goalkeeper error, an own goal gifted me a passage to League One.

Cups weren't as successful.

Final Position: 4th League Two PROMOTED!
Cups: Lost pretty much everything ASAP.

Bring on League One!!

Ah, you are just like the rest of us. A plethora of strikers, dire need for a DL and a MC, but what do we buy... a new striker.
I do it all the time and every time I say to myself " Do not buy any more bloody strikers".

Yeah, the hope is that we can score enough goals to outpace our defensive problems Never has worked for me, but that doesn't keep me from continuously trying

Half-Season 07/08

I have jumped ships once again. From the midtables of League One, to the 22nd position in the Championship. I have taken charge of Wigan, with a healthy 10.5m transfer budget. I was surprised at the quality the team had. And I mean that in a bad way. Definetely not Championship class. I am currently in talks with a few players I scouted at Pboro, one a young winger, another a reserve CB. Let's see how it works out!

Full Season 07/08

I bought quite a few players to save this wreck, and managed to get a few big names in, such as young midfielder from Crystal Palace, and a pacey winger from a premiership club. I already had a brilliant young left winger, but unfortunately due to a minimum fee release clause I was unable to remedy, he buggered off to the Birmingham Blues.

I started the season off well, but then it got much harder, and after 8, YES 8, consecutive losses relegation became a brutal reality. The Wigan Latics, had been relegated from the Championship.

Final Position: 22nd in the Championship
Cups: Made it to 4th round of the FA Cup to be smashed for 5 by Newcastle.

So Wigan in the League One, back where I was at the start of the season. Well atleast I still have some quality players I bought, and I'm ready to bounce back...Or fall miserably. Either way promises surprises and twists.

Nice to see another LLM enjoying the challenge. Bit concerned about all the jumping about from club to club, hows your loyalty rating? Also do you get offered the jobs or are you applying for them?

The loyalty bar doesn't change when you move clubs. It's your loyalty to the players, like when you praise them.

I've only jumped ship twice. Plus unless I get a Premiership job, I won't move. BTW, I applied for both clubs.

Lol at bigpants.
